When it comes to selling fragrance, there are even differences in the way a consultant holds the bottle. When demonstrating a fragrance to a woman, the consultant should place the bottle delicately on the palm of one hand, supporting it lightly around the collar with her other hand in order to give the impression it’s something very precious. For men, though, it’s better to grab the bottle and wrap your fingers around its middle. Perhaps, this looks more masculine.
The popularity of men’s products can be easily accounted for by the fact that physical attractiveness is the promise of success in both the career and private life. There are only a few exceptions to the general rule of judging people by the exterior. Although it is true that the inner qualities matter much more, but it is true that appearances speak volumes about the person’s attitude to himself, his character and his ambitions.
Apparently, men are more keen to know the effects a fragrance may have on the opposite sex. Men often ask whether it will make them more attractive to women. But I have never heard a women ask whether a certain perfume will help her get a man!
